Miyo
Obsidian, answered on mobile.
Miyo is a native mobile companion for Obsidian that lets you ask your notes questions via chat or voice—fast, focused, and built for “on the go” moments.
It’s not another notes editor. Obsidian stays best-in-class for writing and organizing. Miyo is for quickly getting answers from what you already wrote—without digging through files.

Use it like this
- “What did I decide about X?”
- “Summarize my notes on Y.”
- “What was that article I saved about Z?”
Why a companion app
This could be an Obsidian plugin, but a native app enables a much better mobile experience:
- Voice-native interaction (hands-free, low latency)
- Faster, smoother UX with direct access to system APIs
- Designed for asking questions, not writing or editing
Importantly, it’s a companion—not a replacement. Your notes stay in your existing vault. Obsidian remains the source of truth.
How it works
- Point Miyo at your vault on-device.
- Ask a question by voice or text.
- Miyo retrieves the most relevant notes and produces a concise answer with supporting context.
Designed for quick answers—commutes, walks, errands—when you don’t want to open a bunch of files.
Privacy model
- Notes stay on your device. No Markdown files or raw text are stored on our servers.
- Cloud can be used only to speed up search by storing vectors (numerical fingerprints), not your note content.
- LLMs are used only to generate answers from retrieved context. BYOK is supported if you want full control.
